Breaking Down the Best O-Lines in Madden 20
Continuing our deep dive series, this article will take a look at the offensive line units of each team in Madden 20. Above you can see my spreadsheet I created to make my observations. I plugged in the blocking stats of the starter at each offensive line position. In some cases when a back up in one position was substantially better than a starter at another I took liberty in moving that back up into a starting role.

The Numbers, Then and Now
- Comparing last year to this year a few things popped out to me. In general the Avg blocking score is about 3 points lower across the board outside of Dallas. The spread grew a bit as well going from 86.7 to 73.8 compared to 86 to 70.8 this year.
- The biggest unit upgrade from last season to this season was San Francisco who went from 19th at release last year to 8th this year.
- The biggest unit drop from last season to this season was Atlanta who went from 5th at release last year to 23rd this year.
Observations From This Year
- The worst starter belongs to Washington who's Left Guard is the worst projected starting offensive linemen in game
- The worst blocking unit in the game belongs to the Houston Texans run blocking. There won't be much running behind that line besides Watson running for his life.
- The best starter belongs to Dallas who's Right Guard is the best blocking offensive linemen in the game.
- The best blocking unit in the game belongs to the Dallas Cowboys run blocking. Zeke should have plenty of room to run behind this elite run blocking line.
- The worst blocking position group at release is Left Guard whereas the best blocking unit in game is Left Tackle.
